Holy Trinity Polish Mission,
Chicago, IL

Holy Trinity Church (Polish: Kościół Trójcy Świętej) is an historic church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago located at 1118 North Noble Street. It is a prime example of the so-called ‘Polish Cathedral style’ of churches, in both its opulence and grand scale. Along with such monumental religious edifices as St. Mary of the Angels, St. Hedwig’s or St. John Cantius, it is one of the many Polish churches that dominate over the Kennedy Expressway in the Pulaski Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Holy Trinity Church is the home of the Holy Trinity Polish Mission since 1987.

Prayer for Chicago and the Suburbs

“Prayer for Chicago” is a new kind of reparation and atonement for the old and new sins of our city; it is also a plea for peace in the Chicago area and a change of hearts of its residents. Our goal is a 24-hour (24/7) adoration of the Blessed Sacrament for two years without interruption. The disturbance in the Church, the consequences of the pandemic, and the social unrest in our city are calling us to take action. We cannot wait any longer! To take part in the initiative, it is necessary for you to declare a specific time for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, register on our website and fulfil your commitment.

We encourage in-person Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in churches or the chapels. People who do not have the possibility of adoration in-person, can use the virtual adoration instead. We invite individuals, groups, organizations, and parishes to take up this bold challenge.

Begins on September 13, 2020

In a spirit of expiation, we especially want to atone for the following:

  • profanations of the Blessed Sacrament
  • sins against life
  • and family divisions

Everyone is invited!
